Eight Pregnancy Tests Later

After a miscarriage, the last thing you think you could possibly do is believe it when you see another positive pregnancy test. I assumed it was just hormones still in my body from the miscarriage. I had my husband buy a few boxes of pregnancy tests just so I could confirm that the tests were consistent at least. Eight pregnancy tests later, I sat and looked at my coffee table at all the white sticks that either showed “YES+,” “PREGNANT,” “+,” or two double lines. I was starting to think it wasn’t just hormones. How could traces of hormones show eight pregnancy tests consistently positive? That’s when I decided to bite the bullet and call the doctor for an appointment. When you’ve had a miscarriage, people certainly don’t understand why you’re calling to make an appointment to confirm you’re pregnant if you have had eight positive tests at home.
